Band News
Monday November 21, 2005

Wow, it's been a while.

We'd just like to say 'thanks' to everyone who has emailed, posted, and called asking about us. It's been a crazy past year for all of us and not just with the band.

First off, the company that hosted our website went out of business, and due to my lack of backups, all news and posts from 2004 and 2005 went with it. With the help of web cache, we've been able to get most of this back.

Next off, our second drummer, Mr. Darkness Patterson, decided to look toward greener pastures and hitched a ride up North, effectively leaving us drummerless for the second time in less than a year. Due to this, we were forced into a hiatus, which actually felt good for all of us. We've been going nonstop since we started back in 1997. For the first time in 8 years, we could catch our breath and reflect back on our past years.

We took the time to finish our home recording studio, Drift Sound Studios (website coming soon). Rick and Matt have currently been working with local metal act Humanity Abandoned on their first demo. With the studio complete and the music bug still in our ears and hearts, you can expect that we aren't going away.

Plans currently include recording some of our most recent music and putting out a CD, which we know you guys have been bugging us for. We also plan on playing some acoustic shows in the not-so-distant future to showcase some of what we've been doing. We're not ruling out plugging in and getting back on stage - in fact, you can count on it. But this downtime has been just what we need to work on new music, new projects, and new experiences - stuff we never had time for while playing numerous gigs a month.

We want to thank all of our friends and fans who have supported us over the years. We can't wait to get back out and see you all. Hopefully it's more sooner than later!

DJ "Doc" Gibson Departs Revelaria
Tuesday April 20, 2004

We are sorry to announce the departure from Revelaria of longtime drummer and good friend DJ "Doc" Gibson, choosing to pursuit other interests and life changes. DJ has been with Revelaria since its creation in 1997, and has been an incredibly large part of what we have become. DJ originally appeared in several modern rock setups with bassist Rick Chapman, including the punk rock two piece "Private Chuckwagon." DJ's drumming has been articulate and dynamic, and he will truly be missed as part of Revelaria. We wish him all the best of luck in his new journeys and endeavors.

But, as they say in this business, "The show must go on." We'd like to welcome Josh Patterson to the Revelaria crew. Josh comes to us with years of percussion experience, and has quickly been fitting into the Revelaria mold. Along with learning our tunes, Josh has quickly become an influence in the new music we are writing. We are currently in the process of putting together a handful of new songs that we're very excited about. These songs will appear on the new full-length record, which we are set to begin recording in late May or early June.

To see Josh in action, be sure to check out any of our upcoming shows in May and June. We're entering a new and exciting time for Revelaria, and we hope everyone will join us! Thanks for your support; we really do appreciate it.
