The El 'n' Gee Club is hosting a CD release party for Revelaria
by Rick Koster

Montville/Ledyard alt-rock band Revelaria headlines a CD release party Friday night at the El 'n Gee Club on Golden Street in New London.

The four-piece act, long familiar at places like Husky Blues in Storrs and lately popular at the El 'n Gee, is celebrating the completion of "Built to Last," their first full-length recording.

Doors open at 8:30 p.m., and old friends Missing Joe - always a dependably great band - will also appear. SMB is also on the bill.

Cover charge is $7, and copies of "Built to Last" will be available for purchase at the show.

"Built to Last" is an immediately engaging CD, long on energy and the soaring melodies of vocalist Paul Jones.

If overly derivative of bands like Live, Revelaria nonetheless entice with taut musicianship and interesting twists on age-old lyrical concepts.
